Some of the most powerful & elite gather for Red-Carpet Meet & Greet

Monday Night, Hattiesburg Management Group held its annual Steak & Salmon Meet & Greet Dinner, this year hosted by the democratic party. The red carpet event took place at at O' Charley's Restaurant in West Hattiesburg.

The event featured some of the most powerful & elite in the Pine Belt such as the honorable Representative Percy Watson & Hattiesburg Management Group's very own, the honorable Senator Juan Barnett, both of whom served as the featured guest speakers for the evening. Former MS Gubernatorial Democratic Nominee, Johnny DuPree Ph.d, another client of Hattiesburg Management Group, was also in attendance.

Among the elite in attendance was the newly appointed Senior Associate Provost of the University of Southern Mississippi Dr. Eddie Holloway, NAACP Vice President Milan Hoze, Civil Rights Leader Attorney Glenda Funchess & Dennis Dahmer, son of the assassinated Civil Rights Icon Vernon Dahmer.

The Forrest County Democratic Nominee for Constable Jennifer Brown & Dee Moye, Group Chief Executive of Hattiesburg Management Group walks the red carpet.


The party brought out its stars as well. Supervisor Sharon Thompson of the Forrest County Board of Supervisor and Constable Jennifer Brown, the democratic nominee, both spoke at the event about their bid for re-election.

Kenny Johnson, the democratic nominee for sheriff and Greg Fluker, the democratic nominee for coroner, also spoke about making history, becoming the first African American to serve in either role.

Former City of Hattiesburg First Lady Johniece DuPree was also in attendance. She's running unopposed to be the next Election Commissioner for District 2. She will make history as a first lady being elected to public office for the first time.

Democratic Candidate for Justice Court Judge District 4 James Fenton was among the candidates who spoke during the event as well as Democratic Candidate for Supervisor District 2, Shelia Angelety. Both are challenging democratic public officials.

The well attended event featured a full 5 course meal including O' Charley's famous steak and salmon. This was just the 2nd political event HMG organized this year, both with record turnout. HMG is planning over 25 events before the primary election on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
