Hometown Hero's Valentine's Day Dinner

On Valentine's Day, our hometown hero spends time dining with widows, nursing homes, single parents, & civil rights icons such as Mrs. Ellie Dahmer, wife of slain Civil Rights Legend Vernon Dahmer & Lt. Col. Raylawni Branch (Ret.), the first African American student to attend the University of Southern Mississippi, giving them an experience of a lifetime with a special dinner, including personally meeting our Hometown Hero.

Mrs. April

Partnering with our friends at Logan's Roadhouse, for the first time since being released, Mrs. April, a single parent, was able to enjoy a 5 course meal with her youngest son & mother.

Mrs. Meril

Partnering again with our friends at Crescent City, Mrs. Meril, a resident at a local nursing home, has her first dinner since the pandemic with our Hometown Hero, making it her 2nd surprised dinner overall. With tears rolling down her face she yelled, "You remembered me!"

Mrs. Branch

Partnering with our friends at Olive Garden, only a few months after her husband passed away, Mrs. Branch, the 1st African American student to attend the University of Southern Mississippi, received a special prepared surprise dinner personally delivered by our Hometown Hero. Teary eyed she exclaimed, "You don't know what this means to me. I'll never forget this!"

Ms. Latoya & Nehemiah

Partnering with our friends at Longhorn's Steakhouse, single mother of 2 young boys, Ms. Latoya, had no idea her youngest son, 14 yr old Nehemiah, a honor roll student who's only wish is to take care of his mother, would take her out on a special Valentine's Date in the regretful absence of his father being in their lives, ordering the biggest steaks in the house. Afterwards she said the dinner, "...made our Valentine's!"
